Janelle Byrnes is the proprietor and owner of Salon J.

Janelle’s journey began when she was just sixteen years old during a conversation with a successful salon owner and nail tech, who told her that the beauty business could be anything and all that you make of it. Seeing her success and drive, Janelle followed her ambition to school, then into her first business working as a nail tech at Salon Visage in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Over the next 18 years, and with owner and stylist Doreen Pilozzi as her mentor, Janelle built a loyal following while honoring her business skills, creativity, and commitment to great client service. 

In 2020, Janelle decided to bring, her vision to the next level when she purchased the business from Pilozzi. A full-scale renovation followed, giving Janelle the opportunity to begin ground-up in a modern, re-envisioned studio space.

Today, the new Salon J offers a gorgeous environment and a range of hair and beauty services by Janelle’s team of amazing stylists. We look forward to helping you achieve your most beautiful looks and self, and to become a fun and trusted part of your beauty and self-care team.
